So I rarely talk about my personal life on Tumblr, but I don’t really know what to do. This is my grandpa and he has Alzheimer and epilepsy. At five in the morning about four days ago, he just walked away from home and never came back. Sometimes he takes long walks since it’s common for people with Alzheimer’s but we usually find him, except this time he hasn’t come back. He didn’t take any money or ID with him and he hasn’t had his epilepsy medicine since he ran off. We are really worried about him, but local news stations said they aren’t sure if they will be able to put an alert on the news until Monday. If any one in the Miami/Hialeah area sees a man in his early 80’s walking around aimlessly, please contact the number given. It would mean a lot to my family.

I don’t live in Florida.. But if you do, I’m sure it wouldn’t hurt to keep an eye out.

Photo of the day: A glowing burst of green aurora lights up the sky in the early hours of Oct. 1 above Whitehorse, Yukon, Canada. The light show was the result of a coronal mass ejection that erupted from the sun 3 days earlier.
 
As long, dark winter nights descend on the northern hemisphere, aurora lovers in far north towns and cities will have plenty of opportunity to witness these stunning displays. The peak time to view auroras occurs between 11 a.m. and 2 a.m., and the most active displays occur in the equinox months of September and March.
